Preschool is about school and life readiness. It’s about the whole child and their whole self being ready to take on life outside of their parents and to become great learners, thinkers and doers.
There is more to early childhood than letters and numbers!
Preschool is about developing cognitive thinking skills, learning life skills and developing social skills. Without these skills, school academics would be difficult to learn, being away from home and independent will be difficult.
Goals:
How do we accomplish this at OBS?
Through play! Our play-based curriculum, hands-on activities and emerging curriculum, focuses on the social and emotional development of your children. Through fun and engaging circle time games, students are also working on:
We provide individual, small and large group experiences and encourage creative expression. We build their curiosity through interesting unit studies based on their interests, activities and expressive art. We want your child to love coming to school every day, and be excited to begin their elementary school experience well-equipped and excited about learning.
Our Preschool program is for children ages 2.9-5 years old. Students must be 2.9 years old by September 1.
